I definitely prefer Hard Partying Jews.
I definitely prefer Hard Partying Jews.
Isn't Michel Hazanavicius attached to direct?
I'll sink Manhattan
I'll sacrifice friends
I think they'd understand my plan
I'll never be sure
I'm trying to get more into hiking while preparing for a Belize vacation, so maybe I'll try that. Thanks!
I think it's more a matter of getting older than times-they-are-a-changin. When I was a kid I probably could have sat around listening to comedy albums. I know I had a lot more patience then than I do now as an adult. With more demands on my time, my patience has gone out the window.
Yeah I probably will do that while waiting for it to start.
Everyone already said everything I might say on this topic, so I'm going to change the subject a little bit.
Thank you! I (almost) totally agree.
I'll be watching a production of Antony & Cleopatra on Saturday in Pasadena, the fourth play in a season of six I pre-purchased. I wonder if I'll be able to actually follow/understand a Shakespeare play that I haven't read ahead of time.
Maybe this will lead to me finally watching it. I'm still a few seasons behind on Buffy/Angel, but I guess it doesn't matter. It's not like they crossover.
Ha ha! Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. The trailer for Shark Tale does look pretty terrible. If I continue with this, I'll probably save Shark Tale, Happy Feet, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron for the very end.
I sincerely appreciate the response and the recommendations. For whatever reason, even though I'm obsessed with pop culture and spend an absurd amount of time on AV Club, at heart I am more interested in the well-done mainstream than I am in what's typically classified as "art". For example, my favorite movies of 2011…
I try to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the show, but they make it difficult. It's one thing in a horror movie when someone goes into the spooky house alone, because at least they have no reason to believe in monsters/ghosts/whatever.
I'm pretty sure he just asked her: "So, why the accordian?"
So I watched Puss in Boots last night. I'm thinking about watching every Oscar-nominated Animated Feature ever (which is only about 40, and I've already seen half of them) because I'm a crazy person and that's what crazy people do.
@avclub-c1fe85b855c6d045b827f74a1e2c3fd7:disqus I love it! Great observation.
Mai said she was an only child for the first X years (15 maybe?), and I think the kidnapped brother was a baby, right? Or very young? So she was only child for her developmental years.
I really liked The Beach. It reminded me of those issues of X-Men when everyone gets together to play baseball. Though I agree it rang a little false that everyone would share an insecurity around the fire, it was nice to see another side of the evil Fire Nation kids. I could see real teens doing that, but these…
Greater than the Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt 23 commercial that aired the same night? That one did something I didn't think a commercial for a TV show could do: It made me significantly more interested in watching the show. And I'm not even a Breaking Bad superfan.
You're exactly right. You'll notice hospitals today are eerily quiet. It's the kind of day where if you're walking down the hallway in a hospital, you'll notice the silence, and start to think someone is following you.
