I make an honest effort to resist pirating things, even though it's so very, very easy to do so. The only things I pirate are: otherwise unavailable British TV shows, shows that I have legal access to on my satellite package but not in HD (this sort of piracy went down a LOT once AMC HD was added to DirecTV), and

Nominees for the Dumbest Stuff on Wheels: The "heely" shoes kids roll around on at the supermarket and the mall. I can't articulate why they annoy me, but they do.

It wasn't just political, just the whole idea of Fox network, or FX, or why they dropped the 'O' to become FX, etc. He said that people from FX had come to his practice shows and asked him why he was making fun of Fox.

I saw Russell Brand do a live show last night for about 80 mins or so. He said it was practice for his new FX show, though I don't see how it could be, because he was profane, insulting towards Fox in general, and definitively pro-choice, all of which is PROBABLY not what they're looking for?

In fairness, Starz Play movies had terrible picture quality. I'd much rather wait the extra two days to send away for a DVD (or better yet, a Blu-Ray) then watch the awful, fuzzy, jittery Starz Play movies online. If any of them were HD quality (or even DVD quality!) this would be terrible news, but, as is, no great

My friend was complaining about this the other day. We live in Los Angeles, so if I put a disc in the mail on Monday I get a new one on Wednesday. That's pretty incredible. He says it's not fast enough and goes to Redbox even though he pays for Netflix. I don't get it.

I'm with Noel. For the first time I watched the show with the AV Club live chat going, and while it was often amusing, it was SO snarky and SO judgy (and a bit distracting) that it was pretty much impossible for me to sincerely like anything during the show. Usually I watch it on a DVR delay so I can fast-forward

Speaking of D.B. Sweeney, I want to say how much I loved Strange Luck. I was 14 when it was airing, and I just thought it was the BEST show. I loved how they turned the common TV trope of the protagonist always happening to be there when something was going on and made it the premise of the show. Near the end of the

What did you like about Dimanche/Sunday? I don't feel like I really understood it, or got anything out of it.

Every episode of Holmes on Homes: "They knew what they were doing, and somebody coulda died. There are KIDS living in this house." Shakes head sadly.

Along the same lines, it seems like:

We've got so many at this point, if we lose one, not that big a deal really. Plenty of Olivia-fish in the multiverse-sea.

I was sure that was going to happen, too. Sad it didn't. Hey, at least he got shot in the neck! That's something.

Ohhhh yeah… ZFT…

I thought about the uncertainty principle, too. It's awesome.

Sounds like the biography of every long-running comic book character, but with fewer deaths and resurrections.

I don't know how much you watched or what your standards of "good" Fringe are (I've enjoyed most of it, though am not thrilled with the Amber-verse in general), but at least watch the ep with Stephen Root. It was awesome!

I don't know how much involvement J.J. Abrams really has with Fringe these days, but Howard Stern was talking with him at a party and apparently J.J. promised him Fringe would have a real ending. (Stern is a huge Fringe fan)

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I appreciate it. Puss in Boots was added to Netflix today, but it's on "Very Long Wait" so I guess I won't see it anytime soon either way.

Those are legit grievances.
