Me as well. I'm glad it's (probably) not going to be a dangling plot thread they can bring back (or forget to bring back) later.

How nausea-inducing would you say it is?
Viva Variety was a GREAT show.
I can't even get it to work on my regular PC because of office-related blocks. I wish I could see a list of what songs were chosen at least.
I hope that's true. I am seriously considering reading it. However, I've certainly read more than one journalist-penned thing that did not effectively educate or entertain me about the topic.
Sadly, no. It seems like it should be, doesn't it?
It helps that I never watched the Sealab cartoon show.
Agreed.
Sounds like a fascinating premise for a book, but I wonder if it would be too technical (i.e. boring) for me.
This sounds pretty interesting. I really like when mystery books take place in settings I'm otherwise totally unfamiliar with. I'll make a note about this one.
On the one hand, I don't see the need for more Watchmen comics since the original series told a complete story. I'm surprised they found so many top creators who even wanted to do this, given how worshipped it is.
Me three! I'm even thinking about renting the first season (which I've never seen).
I'd like to be watching Season 3 of Deadwood tonight, but for some reason DirecTV's HBO On Demand channel didn't update on Monday like it normally does. Frustration!

For the most part I've been enjoying watching this show with TV Club Classic. After all, we're like 30+ episodes in and I'm still going, so I must be enjoying it. But man, those endings are frequently just the worst thing. For a show that seems to have no interest in being a jokey-jokey sitcom, why do so many of the…
That's what I took from it, yes.
I hope this isn't interpreted as snobbery, but I haven't watched live TV in years, ever since I got my first DVR. No matter how silly or inconsequential (or frequently repeated) the show is, if I don't record it, I'm not seeing it. There's never really a time when I'm like, "I'm bored, what's on TV right this second?"
Ha ha! It's so funny you say that. I listened to that podcast yesterday, and it probably had some influence on my post.
I'm sort of taken aback by all the anger in these comments. Forgive me if I'm being reductive, but I feel like the message behind almost every argument I'm reading for or against a particular movie is "I'm smarter than you, so why don't you agree with my opinion?"
I mostly agree, though I prefer The Descendants to Midnight in Paris.
