I find the exact opposite, I know plenty of people for whom this and TBBT are their go-to sitcoms and if I mention things like Arrested Development and Breaking Bad, they look as if I were speaking Chinese, and I totally wasn't, I only know Japanese (and English).

The World's End was fantastic, everything Pegg, Frost and Wright touches turns to comedy gold! It was refreshing to see Simon and Nick play somewhat opposite roles than they normally do in the previous films in the 'trilogy', it was also nice to have a bit more of Martin Freeman too.
