Favorite Trees Song?
Dying Days personally, Shadow of the Season second.
Klosterman is an insufferable, self indulgent prig when he writes anything longer than 2000 words. He's a smart guy and his tangential writing (like the Zep article, very very good) can work, but I find his longer pieces to be unreadable autofellation.
"I got keys
Coming from overseas
cost a n***** 200 gs"
Really late to the party, but how can you argue with any of their albums? On Crack the Skye, The Last Baron is great, but Ghost of Karelia is greater. That song pumps me up more than any other song of theirs other than Blood and Thunder.
Ooooo…yeah I managed to forget about that until now. That's Durst for you, it's called "Wish you were here" so it must be relevent to our great national tragedy. God, what a dipshit that man is.
Enjoy:
He looks like a My Little Pony going through it's "goth" phase.
New country just gets better and better, don't it? I'm just waiting for Nashville to discover drum 'n' bass.
Starry Night is on the wall of my dorm room brah. I got that and the Escher print for free with the purchase of two vaporizers at Puffalot.
GWAR = Art
Wait, what? I very very confused.
Good gimmick for sure, but how quickly we forget. Cookie Monster wears the crown around here. Insightful, witty, and he'll fucking eat you like oatmeal raisin if you don't agree.
I'll completely disagree..it's my kid's favorite movie (followed by Toy Story 3, the Incredibles, and [shudder] Shrek, so I've seen it maybe a dozen times all told, and it's pretty entertaining, if you get past the intolerable cover of Route 66 by Mayer. I don't enjoy it as much as Wall-E or Ratatouille, but then…
Finally checked out The King's Speech. Inside tip: That little picture might have legs. I see golden globes in the future.
My favorite was a pile of loosely stacked pieces of rug…we're talking carpet samples basically dumped on each other. The only benefit that could provide is a tactile one, but do you think anyone could touch it? Thanks, National Gallery touch-fascists!
I want to hear more about the curried goat!
Don't underestimate the power of the brand names "Jurassic Park" and "Spielberg". People didn't see Year One and Land of the Lost because they looked and were terrible, not because people don't want to see dinos wrecking stuff.
Like being immersed in a foreign language.
Maybe you shouldn't have tried to tackle it in Finnish then.
Good looking without being imposing?
Bwah-hah-hah-hah. Seriously AVClub I think "Paul"'s sponsership money ran out ages ago.
Soulja Boy
I hope this book really focuses on his craft and following. Without him I never would have figured out how to superman that ho. That ho.
