From what I saw, there was no BroDown violence.  Didn't see any fists getting thrown, everyone was taking care of anyone who wiped out.  My maladies come from:

I just got back home from Chicago.  Here are my thoughts:

"Yep, It's THAT kind of party!"

Heh heh, I'm doin' it!  I'm a mooner!

I'd respectfully disagree.  Brighter Than Creation's Dark is an absolute stunner, and even the weakest of the post-Isbell albums (The Big To-Do) has some of their best songs on it.

MUNICIPAL WASTE IS GONNA FUCK YOU UP!

This album destroys.  That is all.

As much as I love the band and their live shows (I paid $25 for them in November - it was sweet), their more meat-headed fans are insufferable.  When they played Des Moines in March of '11, I missed both Off With Their Heads and half of Against Me! despite being in line 20 minutes before the doors opened.

Have loved Against Me! for ages, and love 'em even more.  Rock on, Laura Jane - can't wait to hear the new album.

Spell "Brigade" properly and I'll take your thoughts on literature more seriously.

See:  Fucked Up - David Comes to Life.

I'd personally give the edge to the Witch, but that's just me - both are great.  Any love for Toxic Holocaust?

You see, Titus Andronicus DID put out an album this good.  Better, in fact.

So very glad there's so many knowledgeable Rush fans here.  Carry on.

Movie:  Manhattan

I find it humorous that no one's much brought up "Creature Lives" and the fact that it's a mocking song.  It's everything the "old fans" have been bitching about since the band got popular amplified to comical extents - there's LAUGHING at the beginning, for god's sake!  Not to mention the lyrics:

I remember seeing Emily Yoshida performing every week in No Shame Theater.  That is all.

I hate to be THAT guy…
But Devin Frank does not sing "Underground Bed" - that would be bassist Joe Terry.
