But you're talking about it!
But you're talking about it!
This wasn't the greatest episode, but it "felt" like Community in a way much of last year did not. It's so strange - maybe it's all mental - but so far these three new episodes just match the tone of 1-3 so much better.
Man, I wish AV Club was doing a TV Club for this show. It's been getting better and better - the talent show episode was nothing ground-breaking but incredibly hilarious and the heartfelt tie-up felt earned.
@avclub-cd01e5786d65f27654ca570edef28c69:disqus And at least it, and 21st Century, are albums. There's some ambition there - I personally thought both were pretty strong, but radio-overplay really messed up the effect.
Grammar demands "octopodes," actually.
Audrey Plaza's doppelganger should be played by Audrey Plaza.
@avclub-7706d2dc2da6837340effd985dc620b6:disqus I do. I do it all the time, actually. Better on the vocal chords than screaming.
Best Gilliam animation: the guy shaving who cuts his own head off.
Well, there you go. Arsenic and Old Lace is basically the template for Hot Fuzz.
I had completely forgotten about Moss until she turned around. For me, it's hands down the funniest moment in the whole series.
I agree, I think the highlight on this season was easily "Calamity Jen," and the best episodes are usually one of the first two in the other seasons.
I think season 4 suffered from a lack of constraints (though it did have some serious others). Part of the creativity came from having only 22 minutes to fill in the first three seasons. Without that tightness, the stories got well-bloated. There is a lot to excise.
Ah-ha! A stress machine!
Kristin Wiig f-ing NAILED Jessica Walter. You can take that however you want.
Richard Ayohade as the Doctor…
I loved it. Who is John Hurt, we ask ourselves now? Pre-Doctor Doctor? Valeyard? Final regeneration? Future aged version of Colin Baker? I like it.
I love McHale, but that was a terrible casting choice. O'Dowd comes across as indifferent and lazy, McHale has a more contemptuous laziness about him. The casting for that pilot was terrible all round, though.
I have a hard time watching this show on DVD. They keep catching fire - wish they wouldn't make them in Britain.
Here is why I liked this episode; it was so goddamn funny. Classic Jim and Dwight.
I'm real sorry your mom blew up, Ricky.
