This was a shitty, shitty episode of TV.  No one this season had a grasp on Community at all - like, it seemed as if they'd read reviews of the show but never actually watched it.

Bert Macklin.

Perhaps ironically, none of them enjoy the theremin.

It got fairly predictable early on, but it would have been a LOT stronger without that fucking voice over.  He paraphrases the whole voice over when talking to Olga with Vicca.  Would have been a way better infodump.  Little stuff like that - plus the clone hook-up at the end.  WTF?

I don't know how they composed it so well but without seeing the show the theme already had me thinking "Ah, this is a show about small town government."  MAGIC!

I liked the previous episode which showcased how he's pretty good at his job if not being yelled at - or the episode where he was licking the envelopes and just pushed through despite having the wrong fliers.  Dude is amazing.

Poundstone usually kills it when she's on.  She's hilarious.

I was hoping for the same thing when she stepped up to the mic.  You are quoting my imagination verbatim.

It's quintessential gallows humor.  It has to be funny, because the horror aspect is incredibly bleak.  The zombies are unkillable and the toxin is so easily transmitted (rain!) that only the nuclear blast could stop it! (and even then…)

It's like his review of the original "TMNT."  He said something like "This is probably the best a movie called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" can be.".  He was fair with the movies he reviewed.

I'm getting more of a Watership Down meets PeeWee vibe from that.

BUCKLE UP!

I marathoned most of it, and it's pretty nice.  Unlike some other serials, they didn't spend a whole lot of "connection plot" in the episode - just did the "Previously on…"  Unlike Fringe or some (even worse) Smallville where they spent a good five minutes in the opener bringing you up to speed, and then the last five

Oh God.  What have I done?

It was all the Germans.  It had nothing to do with a complex backstory being introduced in a way that was both meaningful and insanse.  Also a well played anime excursion.

I just did a full series rewatch the past few months - it is insane how much it's changed while still staying the same.  It's nothing like that first season.

Thoughts?  Sure!  Better late than never, right?!

Too nice to Jerry!  He drove his family to Muncie last week and got called out for no tux at the gala!

The only thing that moved was his fist!  Then he let a scrap of steak drop from his mustache into his mouth.

I agree.  I'm watching it because I have for so long and I'll be damned if I miss the ending.
