Correct, the reason for Di existing was so that Don could finally realize the pathetic extent to which he was willing to grasp at straws to be 'normal' or 'escape the past'
Yeah, they even served us up a 'Pete with his is hunting rifle, contemplating life' cut
When they cut to that shot, that's exactly what I was thinking.
It's al relative. We know these shows get graded on curves.
You mean except for the scene where Pete tried to shake her hand after pimping her out to Herb Rennit…
Yeah, and Burns was gutless as well. I know it's not a great analogy…just strictly looking at how they view themselves, and how it relates to how they conduct themselves with others.
Eh. I always got a Burns/Hoolihan vibe from them, even when they were married. They were just as attracted to their collective names and stations as they were to each others' persons.
Even just having divorced parents makes it hard, apparently, to enroll in a prestigious pre-school.
I'm going to miss this show so much. That is all.
"All That Jazz" is a criminally underrated film, in spite of the Oscars it did win or was nominated for.
Yeah, it's not even a subtle one like King of Queens was of Raymond. Crane was one of the main peripherals in Cheers, and Sam Malone even visits Seattle in a Fraiser ep.
Man, something about Event Horizon…for some reason it sticks with me to this day in ways other psych/horror films haven't. Just did not need the 'Hellraiser' ending. Would love to see what David Fincher would do with it. As unnerving as the 'unscrambled surveillance footage' scene was, can't imagine how frightening it…
I thought it was hilarious. Cranston doesn't strike me as the sort of guy who would be ok with doing that if he felt it cheapened the character. I don't care that it was for a commercial, just seeing any new words uttered by Walter White made me 12-year-old-christmas giddy.
*Paging Terry Gilliam
Yeah, I always took the IMDB 250 as a gauge closer to an RT score…based simply on an up/down aggregate. It's not a measure of how excellent a film is, per se, but rather an indication of how universally liked a movie is. Certainly, they are almost all some of the most excellent films of all time, but they're arranged…
I have a lot of friends who saw '12 Angry Men' for the first time in grade school, as it's a useful character study in the nuances of both the justice system and cultural bigotry. Given that we assume the dominant demo of voters on IMDB is males 12-30 [odd, saying that right after bringing up cultural bigotry], '12…'…
This reminds me of Aqua Teen's 4th season DVD. When you select 'Play All'…it plays every episode in a grid.
As someone not afraid to dig up my 90s CCM collection from time to time, the pre-"the Switchfoot Song' Switchfoot is a pretty good listen.
I was just going to bring up 'Christmas Slay'. My dad actually called me the other night to tell me he found ESC on Netflix and we proceeded to have a 'no not sleigh…SLAY' convo.
