"Al Jazeera? No, he's just our ace reporter. Prime-time anchor. Great guy. Patriotic American, through and through."

Pretty injured. Torn ligaments and a sprain in his throwing shoulder. But he's like the terminator or Jason Vorhees — you can't really stop him. He'll probably throw for 3 TDs and 300 yards.

Damages is at its best when the characters are strategizing over discovery and procedure, or taking depositions. There's actually very little in-court drama throughout the series — no "Ah ha! I knew it was you!" moments. Given that, I think you will enjoy it. I know I did.

"You get a TAINT, and you get a TAINT, and you get a TAINT…"

Don't mess with the NFL's biggest cash cow or you'll get the horns — a lesson Al Jazeera learned to late, it seems. If only they'd had a way to artificially inject some fresh cash into their failing business.

I think 4 has a bit of an uptick… (it's a bit of a soft "reboot"). 5 unfortunately is pretty low-key… but as other commenters above have said, it's still a well-done wrap-up to the series and the main characters' arcs.

Do it, you won't be disappointed. Seasons 1-3 are best. 4 and 5 not quite as good, but still well worth the watch and final payoff.

I understand why Damages never really obtained a broad audience; it's legal wrangling was too nuanced and confusing relative to the Law & Orders of the world. It's twisty plot, dark tone, and intense focus on complex characters made it a "slow burn" show. Not a ton of action, and the "twists" and "shocks" when they

No, you have to shoot him and choke him.

She lops of walker heads and yet Still They Rise. Maybe she'll have to make some Changes.

This sequel lives! It dies! It lives again!!!

As long as Mister Wu is back, and that cocksucker from San Francisco isn't, I'm in!

I've listened to Alison's podcast pretty consistently since it's debut on Carolla's "podcast network" in 2012. I've always enjoyed it. I encourage everybody to give it a try.

… AND STOP TREATING SPAM-BOTS LIKE SECOND CLASS COMMENTERS! They're just trying to earn a living like the rest of us.

I hope this means his legacy becomes "Bill Cosby, Convicted Rapist Who Was Once A Revered Comedian" instead of "Bill Cosby, Great Comedian/America's Dad Who May Have Been A Sexual Predator." Both include the sordid truth, but the order in which they are said and remembered is important.

Who could have imagined that this wholly unnecessary remake would suck?

"Hogan later sincerely apologized for the whole thing and explained that he’s not a real racist, he’s just from Florida,"
This made me literally laugh out loud. Well done, Katie.

Well, they did have the fallout from Saul and Carrie's relationship to resolve between season 4 and 5, so that was kind of a mini-cliffhanger. Obviously it had consequences this season. I don't think there's anything wrong with doing multi-year arcs, but it's obvious that the show is gun-shy about it at this point.

The Steve Rannazzisi incident is my favorite faux-outrage story of the year. "Hey, let's all get angry at this guy we've never heard who did a thing that was tasteless but in the grand scheme didn't really hurt anybody!"

Yeah, I was cringe-laughing my way through. Then the swinging scrotum… I just sort of guffawed. I realize some might think it was cheap and gross, but I thought it was the perfect capper to a very uncomfortable scene. (The puking on the kitchen table was a good epilogue.)
