I seem to recall Cassandra Spender being pretty irritating, maybe because she appeared when the mythology started to make no sense at all.

A worse recurring character than Albert Hosteen…
… how about Agent Reyes? God, I hate Reyes.

I love some of Arnie's one liners in The Running Man:

Alison Lohman
Doesn't this movie have Alison Lohman in it? It can't be a complete waste of time then, right?

I think that episode was called "D-Girl" and yeah, it wasn't too good.

Poochie D
This show certainly sounds proactive. That dog character is a totally outrageous paradigm.

Nelson Muntz, Patriot:

Thanks, Cookie Monster. It's nice to feel appreciated. Let me lend you a jar of love.

Perfect Hair
A balding boy, sound like Janeane Garofalo
Fiend for a sloppy fro, who seen the evil Coiffio?

Hesh's Farm
Speaking of Hesh and horses, I always liked this quote (think it's in season 2), when the rapper meets Hesh on his farm and is trying to get royalties for the singer Hesh's label exploits in the 60s…

I agree that both of the really Hollywood centric episodes (D-Girl and Luxury Lounge) aren't really up to scratch, but there are some pretty funny moments in there, like when Christopher mugs Lauren Bacall for her gift bag. I didn't really like Ben Kingsley appearing though, it felt like one of those really

I think the real question is which faux Grunge band is worse: Nickelback or Puddle of Mudd?

I just read American Tabloid. If it's even partly true, J Edgar Hoover was one twisted motherfucker.

Well, as Todd mentions above, all the Darin Morgan episodes are great for a start (Humbug, War of the Carphorages, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Jose Chung's From Outer Space).

Darin Morgan
Totally agree about Darin Morgan - I love all the episodes he wrote for the show, although probably Clyde Bruckman's Final Respose just edges out Humbug as my favourite.

@ igignot - me too, I think I read all of the short stories when I was a kid, but I never read any of the Holmes novels. A few which really stand out for me are "The Five Orange Pips", "The Engineer's Thumb" and "The Adventure of the Cardboard Box".

Man, I love the Jeremy Brett version of the "Speckled Band".

Looks like…
… they hate the Drake

The Fugitive
I watched The Fugitive last night for the first time in about 10 years. I remember it being one of my favourite movies when I was about 13 or 14. I still think it holds up pretty well, particularly the first half an hour.

My favourite dialogue from Humbug:
