Wholly Shelt(ie) … really?

Both "Scribblenauts" and "Inside Story" are headed my way via Amazon, and I was sure it'd be a three-way battle for my spare time between those two and the "Professor Layton" sequel. It's a shame to hear "Fo' Scribble My Nibble" is apparently such a letdown.

Oh, Brett — you blowhard!
This review just blue itself.

SMAP!

I know the band by name, but I don't know their music (the song "Monkey Magic" appears on my Japanese copy of "Elite Beat Agents" for the DS. A connection, maybe?)

Love Psychedelico
A Japanese rock/folk duo, Love Psychedelico, has been my absolute, hands-down favorite band ever since I discovered their music in 2000 right before their debut album came out. I left Japan in 2003 but continued following their career and buying their singles, albums and DVDs online.

"Noooo! You are crushing ME like a cheese sandwich!"

Back up in your ass with the resurrection …

I haff tvelve metchsteek.

It's being released Sept. 8, read by the author and, according to the cover art, "featuring the voices of Jon Benjamin, Kristin Schaal, and Robot (?) with musical guests Les Savy Fav and Yo La Tengo."

Boo-yah!
Finally got around to reading this. It's great! Really sharp satire that would make anyone, regardless of their political beliefs or affiliation, laugh out loud. So many great moments in this book, that's it's hard to pick a favorite. Take the time to seek out Stephen Colbert's book, "I Am America (And So Can

Failed finalsies.

Many Rivers Cuomo to cross …
That's funny, Josh. You refuse to *say* "Weezerverse," and I refuse to *listen* to a Weezer verse. Post-"Pinkerton," of course.

Three for three; let's not forget "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America."

I remember going on the Internet and finding out that on-side kicks made it more likely for the receiving team to fumble upon being tackled, then pulling that shit on my friend Ricky for the first time and relishing the shocked/pissed-off look on his face when I took the ball back for a touchdown and won the game.

Hear, hear, beastie. I'll take 30-foot-high leaping catches and codes for unlimited turbo, ramped-up defense and offense, and gigantic heads over an unwieldy, complex football simulator any day.

Funky Beck is good Beck
"Hollywood Freaks" is Beck's best rap song, while "Debra" is the greatest Prince song Prince never wrote. That is all.

A town of disrespect.
Depending on the day and my mood, "Mutations" is my favorite Beck album. "Sing it Again" is my favorite song of all time, regardless of either day or mood.
