I had a root canal during which I had to send the dentist out to my car to feed the meter because it was taking waasaaay too long.  He was saying I had the deepest roots he had ever seen and exhausted all of his longest thingies that he had to stick in there.  Also, the shots for dental work never really work on me…

Picked up the following on a recent run to the liquor store: Bruichladdich 2006 Barley, High West Campfire, High West Double Rye, and Highland Park 12.  Getting excited to enjoy all of 'em.

I have been messing around with some simplified Szechuan recipes I have been finding.  I, of course, need to make tweaks to be able to use up the stuff in my fridge and everyone seems to have been pretty happy with the results.
Also, made myself a cold soba noodle salad for lunch today with some avocados and radishes…
