The opening ceremony was charming, spectacle-filled, with moments of moving beauty, wit, sentiment, hilarity (thank you Mr. Bean and Bond), even a dash of style with the yummy Becks zipping down the Thames. Loved the batty tribute to national health care and children's books. WTF in a great way.

This is the only film that ever made me leave the theater to vomit. Nasty cocktail of the rapid camera movements, fast-cut editing, and the grotesque scenes in the hospital. But I came back. And Tom Cruise is pretty great in it. But honestly I have no desire to ever see it again.

FYI on another discussion board that shall remain nameless, "crapshack" referred to the Lorelai/Rory home on Gilmore Girls. The guesthouse really reminds me of their cozy abode just as many other elements harken back to GG.
