I do love Furst but this movie was a poor representation of his style. Plot and characters were FLAT

The only point of that scene was to later keep Michelle from taking her seat on time so she was able to meet the director. It didn't do much for Michelle's character…

I believe Scott Patterson ("Luke Danes" on GG) is also Jewish. Not that his GG character was. Clearly he wasn't "playing" Jewish - because there's no way a Jewish man could be strong, handsome and relatively stable.
