Agreed about the judge not being interested romantically, but it would be awesome for us AD fans if we got Cary answering the phone and saying "I'm sorry Judge Kluger, talk you off what?"

I'm still not *totally* sold on Coach being back permanently (although I've never been against it), but the delivery of that line reminded me so much of why Wayans Jr. can be such an asset for any show.
I give this a B: there was some funny stuff and the show is really in a
decent rhythm at the moment, but too much of it felt flat and didn't
really work for this to be a B+.
I laughed an inappropriate amount at Howard Lyman saying an old friend had died to justify his behavior in the Flores meeting. Of all the things he could have said, he had to choose the most random and hilarious (for us) justification. Jerry Adler was great in this episode.
Yeah, as soon as I saw her begin to look sick I thought "Oh Peter, you didn't get her pregnant?"
Cary/Alicia ftw.
He (Julius, played by Michael Boatman) is getting anger management therapy with Charlie Sheen.
"Although I intend to hang through the season" - intentional wordplay?
I would have thought that he'd have tackled bomb vest lady, given that he killed so many people on Okinawa.
Bellamy Young really is awesome. Last week I noted the little moment of despair on her face before her 'you're welcome' retort to Cyrus' 'you're evil' quip, this week she did something similar after making a particularly nasty comment in her drunk monologue. Young really does inject Mellie with some humanity and…
@disqus_PaPCZwWvEb:disqus Pop-culture loving character on Parks & Rec.
The "you're evil", "you're welcome" bit was so fantastic. I loved how Mellie briefly hesitated, as if she was slightly distressed about it, only to come back with that retort.
"Oh Gob, you could charm the black off a telegram boy!"
"OK, we'll just say it - she's the one who dies"

I was both amused and horrified, glad the ending cleansed my conscience.
Having reacted very well to the trailer and seeing critics who were less enthused about it change their minds when they saw the whole pilot, I was actually expecting this to be slightly better. But nonetheless, this pilot still bodes very well for the coming season, if the show can keep up in the ratings.
I'd dispute Schumer being placed in the 'bad comedy' category. Yes, her stand-up is very vagina-filled, but I happen to find the quality much better than the 2 Broke Girls/Whitney standard of vagina-based comedy.
That was a line I really disliked when I first saw it in the promo (just seemed like weak slapstick), but to my surprise I really quite enjoyed it when watching the episode itself.
Yeah, I thought so too, but there was an interview with Manning where she either went along with the statement, or actually said, that 'Tucky killed the abortion clinic nurse.
Newcastle (on-Tyne), UK or Newcastle, NSW, Australia?
