So, I haven't watched the episode. I've seen all other seasons and had a similar reaction that I think many others have had here - serious decline in quality after Season 2, but mildly hopeful that the show can come back. Last season - meh.

I'm kinda guessing/extrapolating here - but post 9/11 any money over 10k - has to be reported by the banks to the IRS. I don't think it's that big of a stretch that they could use homeland security legislation, to explain why a guy will bundles of cash needs to explain himself.

Yeah, that was my thought process too. That Todd is far more well connected through the pest crew, and his Uncle with the prison connections then, he whole "aww shucks Mr. White" demeanor might suggest. Mike vetted all of the pest crew and I assume that having done past (illegal) jobs would have been a requirement.

Yeah, it seems obvious, and thus a plot thread that would likely be rejected. Or it's obvious because we're supposed to note that Walt is too full of himself to be appropriately aware of his potential enemies anymore.

Does anyone think Todd is working for Declan now, possibly? I never ever thought he was an undercover agent.
But that whole, no worries about the money, I just want to get it right, made me think.  And taking a lot of notes and playing a little dumber, would enable him to get all the info necessary.
