Yeah, I was pretty disappointed by how little they made of Kal and Tariq's big reunion. Partly because I was hoping they would do some on-location shooting, and make a little more of the Montreal trip than they actually did (similar to Kal and Tariq's first "date" around LA), what with the show being Canadian and all.

It didn't feel nearly as contrived as last week, when Ellen Page dropped out of the film at just the right time.

I have a similar problem with Slant Magazine, they tend to dislike anything with the slightest bit of hype, so they only like fairly mediocre arthouse and indie flicks that no one else has heard of.

I've been seeing loads of trailers on Hulu recently. It seems as if they're making it out to be their 'prestige picture' for the fall, like it's a serious contender for the oscars.

I'm excited now that positive reviews are coming in, before that I was suspicious. There's too much that can go wrong in a sci-fi film, and the trailer made it look like it could turn out like "Next" or something along those lines.

Interesting list, especially the anime choices. Although you can't group the Star Wars trilogy together, would you choose one over the others to represent the trilogy or would none of the three by themselves make the list?

I'm going to bet that the new album is called 'Crystal Castles'.

I just checked it out and it's entirely possible that I have seen the trailer, but was so bored that I forgot it. Kind of like lots of trailers for poor-to-middling indie fare, like Being Flynn and that sort of thing.

This was one of my big problems with this film. I disagree with your point that Bane was just a fall-boy for Talia- their aim seemed to be the same in the end so I think they were just partners. But, I really don't think Bane was all that dedicated to some sort of fascist ideology. Bane was just a typical comic book

I wasn't particularly into Little Miss Sunshine, but a film by the same directors that's an ironic/self aware take on the MPDG cliche sounds pretty good. Strange that it's coming completely out of the blue (for me, at least). Has this been at any festivals or anything? I'm assuming this thing is getting a pretty

Is anyone else kind of excited about the release of this film mostly just to see what the critics think about it? I mean, I've been waiting for this for a while now but whenever a film that I'm excited about comes to the cinemas I'm generally happy waiting a few weeks to see it, so I'm not going to see TDKR in it's
