It's easy to forget you're from Dallas, as I believe you said back in the day. There's no amount of big hair and twangy vocals that can shock you.

It has rough patches and sometimes can feel too aimless, but at its best it's a breath of fresh air. The core of the show works well. I definitely like it more than Girls. Ilana Glazer seems like she has a bright future. Good comic timing and an awesome smile. Recommended episode to sample it: Locked Out.

I just hope they are putting as much effort into the writing as they are the production design, costumes and make up.

Yes, and there are other differences. But there's a kernel of similarity and it makes sense to me given that Mike Schur is connected to both. It was probably a homage.

I picture something like this: S2E1 opens with him back from his undercover work to high fives and some kind of mild promotion. They'll show us flashbacks and montages and have fun with all the changes since he was gone. Maybe he'll grow a mustache or something silly while undercover. But I don't see any real change

That wouldn't ruin anything if she really loved her guy whose name I can't remember. The guy whose one great chance was in Worst Week and now he's forever doomed to roam the supporting character lists of other shows.

I get what you mean, that it's good they didn't go super dramatic, but I thought while watching it that they did go for a Casino Night thing. Just translated into the style of this sitcom. Right down to it being in a parking lot and them parting ways shortly after (undercover/Stamford).

She had already mocked him pretty hard just a minute earlier though when he said it was hard to go out the window and she interpreted that as meaning easy for her.

Not too long considering everything they have left to do. The actual wedding, Barney and Robin getting divorced, the mother dying. Robin and Ted marrying.
edit: I'm aware that this might not happen. But it could. :)

Yes. And it beautifully set up the likely montage in the finale of a Robin and Ted wedding.

He's named Finn and you don't give your character a romance novel name unless you have an arc planned.

Fun episode though like last week the initial ramp-up was too quick. I miss John Oliver more than I miss Troy. The Duncan-Jeff friendship was the best thing about this season for the first handful of episodes.

Yet. It's early days.

One of the best episodes so far in the series, the pacing and structure in particular was great. Everyone was used perfectly.

She's hotter than Ava but less hot than Alison. She has the least attractive personality of the three. On screen, at least.

This is probably bad news for Amy Smart.

Arrow does more than just run fast though. He has what Liam Neeson would call a particular set of skills.

How will this work on a week to week basis? The Flash seems like one of those superheroes who is better off as a supporting character, at least in tv/movies.

My favorite part was when Errol Childress was doing the accent and combined with the ramblings of the woman it was like a live action Pinky and the Brain.

Another way to view it… after the death of his daughter, he was wracked with a kind of generalized guilt about it. This was why he had such a bleak world view.
