Art and Raylan
The cold opening was both highly entertaining and a bit sad. It reminded me of growing up. The worst thing my dad could ever say to me is, "I'm disappointed in you." No other words or punishment would sting as much as that statement. I would always think that things would never be the same between us.

Can we please all agree to stop using the term "hipster" when disagreeing on another person's tastes or viewpoint? It reminds me of how conservatives have taken the word "liberal" and have co-opted it to describe all the evils of the world.

Since the I Robot movie was so faithful to the source material, this really sounds like a great idea.

More local color
I'm still loving the Chicago Code just for trying to make my fair city a part of the story. Sometimes it's ham-fisted, sometimes it fails but I do love them for at least trying.

Live in the greater Wicker Park/Ukie Village area Leppo? That liquor store is only a few blocks away from me. It cracked me up when they pulled up to it.

Wish I was that flute.

Rope
The instrumental part of the song is an evil ear bug that's burrowed itself into my brain. It's been playing in a constant loop since the first time I heard it. Great stuff. Too bad the chorus is pretty much like every other Foo Fighters chorus.

Evel, that's why the ruffie was invented.

That was far too succinct of an answer if that was the REAL Pitchfork posting. It would take the real Pitchfork about 5 paragraphs to get to that point.

Tecumseh, totally seconded on the deli scene. Brilliant stuff. What I love about that scene is that the idea of it is completely over-the-top and yet it's played pretty low-key.

The scene where he turns into a fat Greek man kills me every single time I see it. Highly underrated. For a director who's known for his frugality, this is pretty technologically groundbreaking for it's time.

I have a friend who teaches at a predominantly middle/upper middle class high school and the stories are disturbing. The scene didn't surprise me one bit.

Clogging
We get an unhinged Raylan, a dead Coover, a vindictive Mags, a conniving Boyd AND CLOGGING! All I need is an Eva/Winona girl on girl scene and I'll be set for life.

Boyd is a lot of things, but I honestly believe he wouldn't lie. He does have his own warped code of conduct.

Dye his hair blonde
and he'd be a shoo-in to star in the Alton Brown biopic.

I love that documentary. Whenever it pops up on t.v. I have to stop whatever I'm doing and watch it.

Beck's been going downhill
Since his Sea Change album came out.

I was in my early 20's living in a college town when it came out. My circle of friends were artists and musicians, stoners all. One guy recently returned from L.A. and heard advance buzz of the awesomeness of PB. We bought the cassette (hee) the day it came out, got home, did some bong hits, hit play on the stereo and

Paul's Boutique
Damn was that an exciting piece of music. I hate to use the term "groundbreaking" but that's exactly what it was. So rich and dense and ADD-addled in the best way. That was the soundtrack of that summer. Suddenly the 70's were cool again. Kudos to the Beasties to alienate their meatheaded frat boy fans

Silverado?
Really? No love for Silverado? He's great in that movie.
