Yeah, I had to be sure this wasn't Brent DiCrescenzo writing under a pseudonym.

WELP, looks like the Facebook link brought in the Trumpettes.
That's pretty much why I stopped watching (I came in here to see The Goldbergs responses). Everything is telegraphed and terrible. The kids are no longer charming and the adults are usually horrible.
"The creator is engaging his fans in the review. Get it the fuck out!" - AV Club
Yeah, besides a commercial or two, I heard nothing about it. AV Club could have at least highlighted it among the Trump stuff.
Not too surprising. They have too much right now and are basically just filling it with random '90s shit. At this point, VH1 can go and its programming can be combined with BET. Also, bring back some of BET's programming. I just hope they don't get rid of MTV Classic. It's the only channel that still shows videos.
Pretty sure that's it.
Don't forget their review of the Black Kids where it was just a puppy meme saying "Sorry." I mean, seriously, what bullshit. It's their first album and Pitchfork showered them with praise before, only to turn on them on a dime and not even verbalize why.
I think a lot of has to do with giving people fame with absolutely no oversight and seeing what happens when the real world gets involved.
*Ahem* That was Papa Roach, which I believe was a reference to the (incorrect) rumor that after the ACA repeal didn't pass, Paul Ryan tore off in his vehicle blasting "Last Resort."
I've been at several shows in KC where the artist has either said "Hello Kansas!" and got booed or talk about the one time they call it Kansas and got booed. Always enjoyable. Also, fuck Kansas.
Scheer's ep was good. He's not going to challenge Nicholson like Faraci because they don't have that dynamic, but it was fun to hear the two argue the movie from different perspectives.
Definitely. Three guys who love playing along and shitting on Scott. It was one of those eps where everyone has long bouts of laughter, including the listener.
There was a split in the late '90s/early '00s between modern rock and active rock. Modern rock is more like Twenty One Pilots, Gorillaz, Cold War Kids, alt-J. Active rock is FFDP, Korn, Seether, Papa Roach, etc. While the former hasn't been doing great, the latter is basically irrelevant.
Agreed. Is Einziger just saving all of his riffs for a different project? Because they're nowhere on here. And the 1:30 jokey song comes off as weird on an album that's as straight-laced and serious as this.
Pretty sure that's just how she sings. Having seen them live, there's nothing that suggests it's anything other than that.
Yeah, it's interesting to see the shifting landscape for rock. The wave of nu-metal and butt-rock bands in the '00s have made it much harder for bands to make rock music with, for a lack of a better words, balls or grit to it without getting lumped in with Five Finger Death Punch or Papa Roach. It feels like most…
I don't know if I'd say instant classic, but it's a superfun, well-constructed blast of sugary rock music.
Yep, this sums it up really well. On-the-nose songs deployed at the pace of a teenager flipping through the radio.
Exactly!
