I think McGrath's always been pretty self-effacing, admitting that he wasn't a good singer and Sugar Ray was a cornball band. It would be easier digest, if I didn't know he also fucked over a bunch of the band when it came to money.

I get the feeling that with Hess directing, this will be a lot more dry humor and awkward exchanges, almost as if they wanted to make another movie with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson, but because every Hess movie has failed post-"Napoleon Dynamite," they had to slap on the sequel name.

I can understand that. I'm not really sure it worked in context, though. It felt like Eastwood being Eastwood, saying "That's a wrap. Now cut out super quick!"

It's really nice seeing him in something that's not only good, but he's also genuinely charming in and has great rapport with Hanks. I'd love to see him and Hanks turn into a buddy movie duo.
