I really think it depends on the host's ability and how game they are. Woody Harrelson had a top-to-bottom excellent episode last year and I'd venture to say he probably wasn't instrumental in its writing, he's just down to clown around. Someone like Rousey who isn't very talented at sketch comedy and isn't very funny

Fantastic input.

Pepsi called us Generation NeXT.

The most recent reference was what? "Zoolander?" And even that is a decade and some change old. It wasn't like they were doing parodies of "Making A Murderer" and "Jessica Jones." Heck, it wasn't even an impersonation-heavy episode. They didn't have one talk show sketch.

I love how she kept on saying "THE BIG GAME," a nice nod to ads not sponsored by the NFL who legally aren't allowed to use the word "Super Bowl."

Actually, it doesn't. It comes from an old letter the lead singer found dated "The 1975." Yes, I'm a fan of the band.

How is he a douche? Because he's charismatic on stage?

This is one of the main reasons I still don't like Wiig to this day. She's viewed as some type of revolutionary to some people, but I see her as the person who bogged down the show with 10,000 Gilly sketches while the other female talent wasted away in the background.

I was kind of hoping they'd delve more into Kevin Roberts's storyline with the other targets and take it to some other weird places, but then it ended. Oh well, it was still funny.

He begins the special with this bit. It's great.

Is he really transgender though? Because I took it as them selling Louie's character as simply a woman played by a man, kind of like "Hairspray."

That's true. Cool, but forgotten.

Just fast-forward to whenever "Gettin Jiggy Wit It" went to number one.

It's amazing what an almost unstoppable force "You're All I Need to Get By" by Method Man was. And sadly, it seems to have been forgotten in the larger cultural zeitgeist.

With their "mature" sex jam "Tonite's Da Night!" I still don't think "Tonite's da night baby, so blow up on me" is something anyone has ever said, even in the '90s.

That's correct. I remember after Jay Master Jay was murdered, I was playing a lot of Run-DMC for my sister on our drives home from college to "educate her" (like any white teenager that thinks he's being all worldly would do). The only education she got was Run-DMC, though legendary, was wildly inconsistent.

When one of my friends saw them during their "Weekend In The City" tour he said it was very apparent that Kele thought it was The Kele Show. I think that's where it started falling apart.

"Signs" and "Flux" were excellent songs.

Yea, he seems cool, but his shtick is terrible. Outside of Jim Gaffigan (who has really toned it down), I can't the comedian with multiple characters that are present throughout their act.

The best is the dolts that made this didn't even cover up the backup vocals with the "Sorry for everything that I've done" part, which is the closest we'll get to an apology for Huckabee's entire political career.
