Yeah I know, I was being a little glib. I'm sure they'll bring back the Renly angle if they continue with Loras as a character.

Especially considering how well she did on Season 2 of The Hour.

Also: when Ned showed up Jaime was chilling on the throne of the king he'd just murdered. Jaime made a tough decision (and the right one), but he instantly reverted to "rakish douchebag"

Loras is super dumb in the adaptation. "lol dude i just met, i'm totally engaged. it's a family secret though lol whateva let's bone"

I, for one, was not expecting Rubber Man to bang Catelyn.

If Maisie Williams did get a nomination last year…I feel like Emmy voters are on autopilot when it comes to GoT cast members. Peter Dinklage or nothing!

The Olenna and Tyrion scene was great because it shows how beaten down Tyrion is - he barely has any of his old spark anymore with Daddy Dearest around.

Oh god I forgot about the gazbeo

Jamie, that new dude and a brief flash of Jon Snow! Something for the men-lovers at long last!

My good friend's family collects creepy (and large) porcelain dolls, and they're all kept in glass cabinets. My friend said that when she was a kid she had nightmares about them screaming to get out.

The Selyse scene felt like something out of American Horror Story, except it was genuinely unsettling.

A Germanic-named pizza place staffed by Chinese stereotypes: Pizza Haus has it all!

It's sort of weird how narratives take over on things like that. When it came out it was well-received critically, and most people thought it was almost as good as Iron Man. Now it seems to be regarded as this massive disappointment on par with X-Men: The Last Stand or something.

@avclub-937936029af671cf479fa893db91cbdd:disqus , why you actin' so cray-cray?

Neat!

Yep: Let's give Parks a sixth season they know is their last, so they can wrap everything up nicely and satisfyingly. Like 30 Rock's finale season, which was superb.

Pierce was pretty much the only staffer at the AV Club with any real interest in jazz (any lurking staffers can correct me, and then please write an awesome article for the site). The Davis primer was one of the things that first got me interested in this site in the first place.

They veer into the schmaltz a little too much, but Sound of Music and The King and I are damn good musicals. I'm also fond of some the music in South Pacific.

Disney Channel airs Gravity Falls (and its other premium shows, apparently) when they have a large-scale movie premiere. I think their strategy is dedicated teen/young adult fans who are internet savvy and will follow it around + a lot of kids who will stay tuned after Wizards of Wavery Place Go to the Mooooon or

Can you explain to me why this a big deal? I'm not being snarky, I'm just curious why it's an issue.
