Hey @avclub-f8f8c273f326be25421cc62737d24a9e:disqus , are you planning on doing anything with all this Soderbergh material? Compiling it all in a blog somewhere?

I'm a Habs fan with no ill will toward the Leafs (if anything, a sort of empathetic pity over once being a glory team). So living in Toronto now is a constantly bizarre experience of being hated as a Habs fan, but grudgingly liked for still cheering for the Leafs sometimes.

Didn't Alexander Payne throw out the entire original script and re-write it himself?

There's also a young, sleazy James Woods in this. Great flick, probably my favorite of Penn's.

Judy Davis was in his mediocre Rome movie, playing a slightly more age-appropriate partner for Woody…so there's hope!

Oh, I love Manhattan Murder Mystery! I always categorize it as late 80s in my mind for some reason.

I'm just surprised it's not on Spike TV or some other piece of shit men's channel.

Ha-ha!!! Wordplay!

I was working with the guy who's recording and mixing all her Toronto stuff, she usually splits the recording process between a couple cities, and she's pretty deep into her new album. They're also filming a documentary about the recording of it.

Love Actually is pretty good!

Keaton's is definitely worse. The last film she was really good in, in my opinion, is The Godfather Part III (I haven't seen Marvin's Room, which got her an Oscar nomination).

I saw this weird Quebecois short film before Upstream Color. That sounds much better than any exposure to The Big Wedding.

A Californian friend of mine dated a Wisconsinite friend of mine. They once got into a terrible argument about dairy production - it was weird.

Allah Adorkable!

Yeah no kidding. It's a very old school solution to finding out your husband is cheating on you.

DRAMATIC STING

I saw Those Magnificent Men… when I was a small child, but I still get that fucking theme song stuck in my head.

You're on fire with these. Please start an Anachronistic Mad Men blog or something, I'd read it.
