My Dad sold wine for six or seven years, and was supremely when I once said I didn't like merlot. He told me that's like not liking beer.

@Scrawler2:disqus - and if you add sugar it's a Tom Collins, right?
Interesting's probably the wrong word, but I went on a tall boy run yesterday and bought the ones on sale. Super-cheap Harp, Stiegl, Mill St. Organic and Grolsch = happy @avclub-6e3b2cb658a36cff9d66c3371c46c4a6:disqus .
Congrats on your nice date!
It's Probably Me - Sting
Until You Come Back to Me - Stevie Wonder
Song for Children - Brian Wilson
Son of Mr. Green Genes - Frank Zappa
The Fear - Lily Allen

I thought my "favorite pubs" thread would be a success! But maybe not everyone likes talking about where they get drunk as much as I do.
@avclub-9da69292e584b8204f05c2be827c0347:disqus , you're telling me! My old roommate is a huge fan of Dawes, and I tried to explain it to him a couple times and he just started blankly at me.
I did a little Googling but didn't turn up anything: did he just test badly or what?
@avclub-b3d29f8f22c60a4b2c5fc2b1691c1d62:disqus - hair plugs are getting better and better. A colleague of mine got them and they're freaky good.
One of the only things I accomplished while in student government was getting this policy enforced (maximum of two exams a day). I know, a shocking twist that student unions are usually ineffective and gormless.
Stephen Fry was on the original BBC Radio version, along with John Sessions. It's quite funny if you ever get a chance to listen to it.
Nothing But Trouble is fucking awful, extremely unsettling and tonally all over the map. It's a perfect target.
I think one of the differences is that the HDTGM really are Hollywood pros who've all worked on good and bad films (June Diane Raphael even co-wrote the awful Bride Wars, which most likely will not make an appearance on the show). So they really are wondering "How did this get made?"
I feel like HDTGM gets a bit of a bad rep here sometimes, but it's my favorite of the bad movies podcasts (they're all excellent, though). WHM and Flop House are full-on assaults on bad films, but HDTGM is surprisingly even-handed in its deconstructions.
They could have her visit every child and teen star in Hollywood as a sort of "scared straight". "Hey, um, this could be you…Chloe Moretz."
It's only playing in one theater in Toronto! When I saw the trailer for this I expected it'd get a large-scale release.
I took two of my straight friends to a gay bar on a dead night. Apparently when it's dead they just show porn in the gay bar. Neither seemed particularly into it, which is why this isn't a "fun fact".
Okay, I have never seen Arli$$…what's so bad about it? Why is it a "go-to" for jokes about shitty series? Did Robert Wuhl murder someone?
Forget Artie, I'd love to have Rip Torn follow me around, dispensing advise as he went.
I'm very excited to see it!
