No, I meant that the notion that M7 i a bit overrated would be perceived as crazy. The newer True Grit is very good, and much better than both the original and the novel.

Agreed; it seemed that both he and Stewart were really tiring from the psychic burden of their best-known former jobs.

I'm hoping that this is similar to the True Grit remake - a film that actually improves upon, yet is still respectful of, the beloved, yet possibly a tad overrated (am I crazy here?) original.

Thanks for including Jesse James; I feel like that is a bit of a forgotten gem. Watching The Revenant this winter reminded me a lot of the look and feel of Jesse James.

Bugsy is pretty damn good, too.

I'm hoping that there's some way to add games to this … Rad Racer?

No Tropic Thunder?! That movie goes for bat-shit lunacy broke from start to finish, and is endlessly quotable. It's up there with Blazing Saddles, Caddyshack and Coming to America in my comedy canon.

… and Connery supposedly turned down the role of Gandalf, and I think Dumbledore. He vowed not to miss the boat on another franchise, and thus took his beloved signature role in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen blockbusters …

Holy Sweet Jesus … thank you so much for posting this! Apparently, I've got 17 discount codes and 11 vouchers … Can that be right? Nickleback, here I come!

Until this country's gun fetish culture calms down, no amount of attempted legislation or community action is going to change the will of the loudest.

I'm thinking that "the motherlode of pointless nostalgia" is a descriptor that can be used rather freely on this site …

Maybe the Strokes? I feel like every post First Impressions … album gets some mild press coverage of the "The Strokes are back!" vein, and then the music is horrible.

I'd like more of these types of Power Hours - selections from bands whose critical or commercial peak has passed, but who still put out albums with some decent cuts on them. Oasis is a band that comes to mind.

I'm a big fan of "pulling stuff … from Marvel’s weirdo ’60s and ’70s space comics." I love those batshit crazy stories …

You're no idiot. The Back to the Future trilogy is up there with the original Star Wars, the Indiana Jones movies (Chrystal Skull does not exit in my mind), and the Nolan Batman movies as trilogies that, while a bit shaky at the end, generally hold up well throughout the entire three-part story.

Make the effort … I haven't read it in a long time, but I remember loving it. The story is sprawling yet all connected at the same time; it really barrels through the latter half of the 20th century in America. Its so good.

Library sales are like BJs and Costco to me … I may not read these books NOW, but might as well stock up at these prices!

I don't know if I'd consider them "boring," per se … but LotR is one example where the film adaptation just towers over the source material. There just seems to be so much more heart in the films than in the books.

His bit about rap groups all on stage with multiple mics always makes me laugh.
