It really is snappy and funny. JLD and My Girl are great; I'd watch these funny women any day over the prattling children on Veep …

I kinda liked "But the Kid’s current iteration, Matt Hawk (and later, Matt Liebowicz), got retconned into the Marvel Universe …" Nice to see Hawk going back to his Hebrew name …
Slattery is as terrific as he's ever been. After losing Lucky Strike, I thought this season would be the slow, sad demise of Roger, and I really thought that he might die this season. Instead, he's shown all colors of different reactions, and surprising, seems to be reigniting his flame for SCDP.
I paused the DVR, and I got "The Fixer" as the title, which is a Bernard Malamud book published in 1966, which would make sense.
He tweeted the wrong address, and Dominos got a trashcan through the window by accident …
Heh heh … "load-bearing" …
Yup. I'm not a huge fan of REM (although last year's Collapse … is terrific), yet New Adventures is one of my favorite albums ever. Has there ever been an AVQ&A about favorite albums from non-favorite bands?
Lost and Delirious … that is all.
Couldn't agree more - The Jim and Pam I'd miss are the early season Jim and Pam. If I wanted to see somewhat content people muddling through their days at a dead-end job that they have no stake in or connection to, I can look around my office …
As a Sons of Anarchy and an Up All Night viewer, I'm going to put it out there that the ladies have held it together rather nicely …
No kidding … I just didn't think people would want yet another medium to document every single goddam moment of their lives …
I kinda meant both. It's good to reach a point in life when you like what you like, regardless others' opinions … but it's also a bit gratifying to find out that someone you respect likes some of the same things that you like.
I always remember an interview Chuck Klosterman did with Jeff Tweedy years ago for Spin. During the conversation, Klosterman made some snide remark about Jet, and Tweedy simply chastened him with something to the effect of "Don't you like rock songs?"
Eh, see, I thought this was another characteristic of the "new Don" in that I thought that he was fairly tolerant of Harry. I mean, the guy is eating in Don's car, and Don seems to have indulged him for a while, based on his imploring of Harry to finally finish up and get inside. I really can't see the Don of a few…
Agreed … 25th Hour is pretty great, tho …
Zod Future?
Yeah … I haven't the time to pore over all of these comments, but I'm a bit surprised that line isn't getting more play. Did Don just say that to appease Megan, or is he becoming the new Roger, and Pete the new Don?
Crushing since "Lost and Delirious" is what you meant to say …
Yup, I thought the same thing: "Hey, it's the old Bullet Run Lane house." It would be convenient to have Pete "grow up" into Don, and Don then becomes Roger ("I don't care about work"), but I'm sure that's to reductive for this show. But as noted before, his marriage to Trudi seems much different than the Drapers v1.0…
