O'Neal himself promised on Twitter to never look at the comments for this article, presumably because of this exact kind of outrageous, toxic disagreement!

If making fun of an American for spending years in a POW camp didn't cost Trump any popularity points, neither will this.
Eh, I'm not a parent, but fuck kids music.
I don't see many shows at all, but I've seen them five or six times dating back to 2009 or so. Plus Gene Ween Does Billy Joel!
The Trump supporters' answers are often maddening on that sub, but yes, they're still civil by any definition of the word. The scare quotes aren't necessary.
Did it stretch anyone else's credulity that she was offended by the idea of doggy style sex? I can't imagine anyone born after the 19th century being that much of a prude.
"What's a catch?" or whatever was great.
Not that it'll ever happen, but I think two parties would be fine if they were just less rigid. Everyone just toes the party line on every issue.
I've been rediscovering Oingo Boingo, especially Nothing To Fear, which I've basically binged on.
Over 300 million people in the country, it takes what, maybe a couple dozen random people expressing outrage for it to become "news?" This was not the case 10 years ago.
You will have to click "More replies" a LOT on Kinja, and that's AFTER clicking various other bullshit to see more than one or two comments. You'll have to click "Show all" and then "Show pending" and then "Load more." It's awful.
I've never given it that much thought but I always thought that scene was self indulgent. "Check out our taste in music!" Yes, you guys are all super cool, that's great.
I've also never seen one. Maybe you see them if you follow celebrities or whatever, I just follow and am followed by people I know. My profile's not even private.
I'm vaguely reminded of this classic MST3K sketch: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I like the one with the AT-AT and the AT-ST because I'm a nerd.
Look, if it were a British website and they did the reverse, I still wouldn't give a shit. I might say, "Oh wow, they actually had a bunch of hits over here!" without the attitude.
I have no problem with them broadening the definition to mean artists with only one song that anyone actually remembers or still plays. I have no idea how many Soft Cell songs charted, but for all practical purposes, they only have one that really stuck (at least in the US).
Well, I've never met you, but… yes.
Point taken, but it's easier to scroll past dumb posts on Disqus than Kinja. Kinja only shows one or two comments by default. Everything just seems like such an investment on Kinja. Click All Replies, Show Pending, Load More endlessly. If i'm going to load comments 3 at a time, they'd better have a decent hit ratio.
Really? I find the site to be occasionally informative, often boring as hell (their dry as dirt sports analysis—"Player x is struggling"— come to mind), and very rarely funny. They're also still the same sanctimonious scolds they've been for a while. It's been a while since I enjoyed it without qualifications.
