Flip the senate, maybe, it's already pretty close. Overwhelmingly? Seems unlikely.
Yeah, I don't know why people make this assumption. We were spared a Trump campaign against Sanders. "Socialist" was a dirty word when Obama ran, it's still a dirty word today.
If Bernie's liberal proposals are "overwhelmingly supported" by the American public, why did this same American public elect a Republican majority senate that opposes every single one?
Technically possible is different from being politically feasible. With about half the country's leadership pulling hard in the opposite direction, then yes, a lot of what he wanted would be impossible.
I think the logic is sound. Against someone like Trump, surely a lot on the right would gravitate towards the middle, and that everybody to the left of Clinton would vote for her to prevent Trump. It didn't work out but I wouldn't take it as a given that Sanders would have won either, given that "socialist" is still a…
By all means delete it if it's doing you more harm than good, I just think wearing the deletion like a badge of honor is dumb.
I find it easier to scroll past and ignore the conservative bullshit. I have an environmentalist friend who used to share bullshit articles with headlines like "ENTIRE WEST COAST OF US WILL BE UNINHABITABLE BY 2018 DUE TO FUKUSHIMA" that I found much more obnoxious for whatever reason.
"Good day, sir. Do you know of any interesting events that will be happening in this area in the near future?"
Confirmation bias is maybe not the right term for what Penis Van Lesbian is talking about, but he's absolutely correct that (most) people who believe it only believe it because they want to.
They believe it because they already hate Obama/Clinton and want to believe it.
I'm not going to delete my account just because other people lack critical thinking skills.
"Haha, it'd be funny if the earthquake destroyed your robot!"
Joel: "Yeah it'd be funny if the earthquake killed your family"
Fortunately for those of us who can't/won't leave, you're going to be no less fucked by global warming outside of the US than in it, and the process will probably be accelerated.
The liberals who didn't bother to vote for Hillary in the election because she's "not liberal enough" should take a look at these names.
According to Wikipedia that actually is what happened, or something like it. Maybe I'm a wuss but that ending works for me, anyway.
Just as they're about to drown, a passing boat picks them up, Snitter's former owner (who was crippled in a car accident but not killed) reunites with him and adopts Rowf. The journalist has a change of heart and makes the dogs look innocent while turning on a bureaucrat. There's some weirdly meta commentary that's…
In the book, the hope isn't totally false and it has an unlikely happy ending. It's kind of goofy but I actually like it.
The Plague Dogs is unusual in that it's the book that has the weird happy ending which the movie removes . Definitely one of my favorite books.
Those sliders looked like 85 MPH fastballs and I think the only reason he wasn't pounded is because they were still geared up for 100 MPH fastballs (that, and anything can happen in an inning).
