I would say it was, very much so. Maybe not such an effective one compared to what it did visually, but it's a pretty simple story about a woman coming to terms with her mortality and finding the will to live, wrapped in awesome spectacle.

I remember reading that a major part of why they fired him is because he didn't want to go along with a drastically lowered budget.

It had some real nice music, pretty young ladies in bikinis and cool images.

Part of being on the mighty web these days is to try not to drown among the billion other people on the web. One way to do that is to try and be a little different. Of course the problem is that everyone is trying to be a little different. That's why I'm sure there's a professional critic out there who has a top ten

If being terrifying is all horror's about, Evil Dead 2 is also a terrible horror film.

I think the free passes is because plot isn't strictly the point in either film.

That's an awesome lamp Scrooge got there.

I kind of like that "I fucked up".

All I remember about this film is that I don't remember much about it.

I haven't seen Riddick, but I presume it's not totally art-house.

I wouldn't say it's implied when nowhere in the article is it said that the game is good. Really the only thing said about the actual game is that it has problems. Everything else is about how it's nice that it's progressive.

Good thing Tomb Raider passes the Bechdel Test and is progressive, helps hide that it's a cynical Michael Bayesque piece of shit game.

The rock throwing scene is probably my favourite Twin Peaks scene.

Hey, there they are, the arched eyebrows!

A prelude, a screenplay, an album, a serious Artist photo, public therapy…

So great to see a heap of positive responses to this show. Back when it started, the first several weeks actually, most of the internet seemed to shrug or even actively dislike it.

"I said it was mild."

Not everyone is hung up on realism.

I love that this is a show where you simply have to appreciate the food stylist.
