Surprised to hear that a toy that was also a bad cartoon and some not very good films is now a new not very good film that's meant to sell toys.

I never really got the Ebert thing. Read some reviews years ago and they all seemed like they were written by someone who wasn't paying attention and didn't care. But everybody goes on and on about the guy, so I guess one of these days I should look at some more of his stuff.

Actually that's not necessarily true. And your husband has been lucky.

Except of course that doesn't make any sense and it wouldn't happen. Whereas the corner dick who spoils stuff would and does happen.

Doesn't change that the joke probably isn't funny if you know the punchline.

Anyone wants to hear a joke?

Yes. Don't use the internet. That makes a lot of sense in 2014.

That was a lot of words about why it's kinda okay to be a dick.

Apparently a lot of old school fans thought IV was terrible.

And I wouldn't want it any other way.

I remember seeing some images from this one years ago, thinking it looked pretty cool.

I doubt anything the guy could come up with would be loved the way C&H is.

I still don't know if Tchaikovsky was the tortured soul who poured out his immortal longings into dignified passages of stately music, or if he was just an old poof who wrote tunes?

Exciting.

It's always a bummer when these interviews are short. But I guess some random roles is better than no random roles.

That I don't know. But he doesn't seem to be willing to pretend. I think that would go against his "ethos" or some such crap.
I agree that racism is not a mental illness and that a vast amount of what he stands for is not proof that he's insane, but there are other things about him that points at a person who's not

Breivik is probably not going to turn his life around (he's also never going to be released, the 21 years can and will be lengthened indefinitely), but by treating him as a human being, Norway shows that they're not like him. I'm sure he doesn't care, because he's an insane killer, but maybe they do.

It's a little goofy, magical negro and everything, but effective and spooky.

Yes, that was a fun book. I didn't manage to get interested in Doctor Sleep, talk about a belated sequel, but this new one sounds like another good one.

It definitely sounds like it was a strange place down there in 87 or 88.
