It's still a fine film. A great big rousing old school film with a strong lead, a great score and beautiful cinematography. It just happened to beat Marty at that silly horse race statue thing, that's the only reason why it's not a generally beloved movie. That and the whole Costner made it thing. He sure fell out of

Funny, scary, gripping and always well done. What more can you really ask for in a show? Someone with a top hat perhaps. And ninjas… Maybe there's a lot of things, but the point stands. It's great TV.

So much fun. Just joyous stuff.

Sometimes he is. The Idiots is a lot of fun… before it becomes deeply depressing.

I get what you're saying and I'm not just being glib, but I'd recommend you watch the film before you ponder it anymore. You might come the conclusion that it is indeed "just" done to throw a jolt into the audience (it's in many ways a horror film, complete with a cabin in the woods), but who knows, you might not.

The child's death was done in beautiful black & white slow motion with lyrical music.

You should see Breaking the Waves. You would enjoy it.

A work in progress? Could've fooled me.

Oh yeah, that's right. Didn't Stephen King write a time traveling book about that subject…. Wait a second. Something is afoot.

He also killed a child in that movie you mention.

It's definitely a gimmick and not completely serious, like pretty much everything Trier does.

Man, there sure is a lot of Doctor Who around here these days.

It's common knowledge that it took him that long. Almost all articles and interviews mention it. Just google.

Yeah, I love the hell out of that score. So simple, but it works.

I enjoy watching the show, more than I enjoy hating watching the show. So, I don't spend a lot of time thinking about why I hate one guy or the other. I'm weird like that.

My favourite episode and one I don't think they'll be able to top. But that's okay.

I don't remember. Just read a lot about the show, there's articles a plenty, seen interview videos about it, what have you.

He put something like five years into it, right? He created an enormous hit. So big somewhere some AMC person is swimming in money Scrooge McDuck style.

I know this is a revolutionary thing to say, it's maybe even a little crazy, but after having thought about it for a while, I've come to the conclusion that this new look is quite terrible.

This is such a delicious looking show. I want to bath in the awesome style.
