I like it too. It doesn't exactly sound like it belongs in the show, so I can see why it bothers some, but I think I dig the contrast, or something. The surreal images and the song and then, bam, straight into immaculately dressed people sitting around in awesome looking rooms being all gangster and business.

Maybe you've already seen it.

It's not Pink Panther and there's definite darkness in the story, but at it's core it's not about torture or mutilation or any such thing. If you're willing to go along with it, it's an interesting ride not unlike Triangle, which is even better and of course the mighty Primer.

You won't get scared, not really. But you may at one point experience a scene you've come across in slasher type flicks many times before, only this time you see it from a different, more amusing angle. Stuff like that. I won't say much more. Part of the fun is seeing how and why things happen the way they do.

The film plays around with horror movie conventions, so the poster isn't as pointless as it may seem.

How you look at Timecrimes and Triangle probably has a lot to do with which one you see first. I like both movies, but I think I prefer the genuine emotions in Triangle compared to Timecrimes more silly fun take on it.

I was pointing out that he made the two films simultaneously and it's obvious to see which one he cared about and which one he didn't care quite as much about.

It's not particular entertaining when you see it again and the wow-look-at-those-effects effect is gone. Unless it reminds you of your childhood.

He isn't and he did.

Your parents showed you a movie when you were five and when you repeated the dialogue, they hit you?

It's a depressing world we live in where the director of Jaws does a film with his left hand and it's considered an old time best anything.

Yeah, guess it is better than Mighty Ducks.

The plot is thin, all the characters are weak, the theme park ride vibes comes from it being an actual theme park ride and it doesn't have an ending worth anything at all.

Yes, there really is a lot of silliness around these parts.

I was a little too old not to notice that it wasn't exactly a great film, so I don't quite get the nostalgia, but it's okay I guess. Everyone's got that thing they loved when they were nine.

It's true.

For your theory to make complete sense you kind of have to pretend a lot of stuff doesn't exist. Just in Spielberg's case you'll have to look past The Color Purple and Empire of the Sun. Or for Scorsese The Last temptation of Christ. Or for Zemeckis Back to the Future Part II.

People who have to pretend to be stupid because they can't handle different opinions should probably avoid the internet in general.

Don't be silly. But I expected you, or someone else to be. It's fine you didn't disappoint.
