That movie has the most amazing curse words ever in films. The college educations were for some low-rent Christian college in Florida that probably did it only for the publicity. When headlines said "Chewbacca Mom gets half a million!" a lot of that was for tuition. I presume she and her family would still have to pay for housing, meals, etc.
