Damn Jay, you nailed it. I was so let down after I finished Deathly Hallows that the very next thing I did was go into my living room and start watching all the movies on DVD, just so I could spend some time in their world again.

Sheesh. Marilyn/Albert was being perfectly civil in his/her (very mild) criticism of Harry Potter. There's A LOT of hipster snobbery around here, don't get me wrong. But phodreaw was not engaging in it.

Too late for anyone to read, but I just love Wainy Days so much I'm gonna pile on anyway.

Serious question, Miller: when you say you read it in a couple hours, do you mean literally two? Because I was starting to think I had finally learned to read at a decent clip, and now all these people are talking about reading TWC in a few hours, and I'm like, am I doing something wrong? Are you guys like skimming,

A page in Blood Meridian took me longer to read than a chapter of Woman Chaser.

If the movie stinks, do-si-do!

I was gonna do a syntactical-ambiguity joke on "Fucking Fox is the worst", but ehh, not feeling inspired. Something with Megan Fox, maybe?

I like Horsefellow's schtick, as simple and stupid as it is. Just remember: pace yourself!

As hilarious as that article is, I find it really inspiring at the same time.

Oh wait, you were probably directly quoting those wacky Brits. Either way, that movie was funny as hell.

He's defending us against you foreigners' crazy spelling.

Maybe I spend too much time on the internet, because I immediately recognized that accidentally obscene logo in your avatar.

In lieu of wishing canceraids on Mr. Oates, I will hijack his thread to chastise Mr. Rabin for misrepresenting Michael Bay's work. In that clip, the boss clearly says "titty titty, strutty strutty", not "titty titty, strut, strut".

"Whilst"? Do they even have "whilst" in Kentucky?

Navy airplanes? What's next, Coast Guard helicopters?

Declaring firsties only after confirming your post? Such timidity. Tsk tsk.

Slow-ass driver, drivin' like a bitch
This ain't no Driving Miss Daisy, fool! Is there something wrong with your motherfuckin' feet? Damn, nigga, shit!

Pulp and Meta-Pulp
I really enjoyed this book, and thought it was definitely worth a read, but I didn't find it revelatory or a transcendent. (And I didn't have to look up a word on every page, like with Blood Meridian, but that's another story.)

No one will ever read this…
…but holy shit, a TV show I've seen and Amelie hasn't?
