I guess I didn't technically answer all of the questions.

There are definitely few things that live up to its scope, but there are more narrowly focused shows that still reach that level of quality.
The Sopranos is a great show, no doubt about it, but it doesn't feel essential to my life or experience. If I had never seen the Sopranos, I don't think I would be any different of a person.
That air france video was absurdly attractive.
Heroes of the Dorm Finals! So excited.
It's not her dying in itself, but one could argue that her arc is what drives the show. She finds out she has cancer and is probably going to quit government, then is forced to stay on as President, she latches on to the prophecy about finding Earth, and the show ends with her finding an Earth substitute as she dies…
I feel like we spend just as much time with Roslin, and since the show ends with her death, it feels more appropriate that she would be the main character.
From those not yet mentioned: Major Winters - Band of Brothers, Kate - Ben and Kate, Birgitte - Borgen, Ben Hawkins - Carnivale, George Lass - Dead Like Me, Lindsay - Freaks and Geeks, Freddie - The Hour, House - House, Angela - My So-Called Life, Number 6 - The Prisoner, Ned - Pushing Daisies, Jaye - Wonderfalls
I feel like most anime leads are the best characters. I haven't thought about it for too long, but it feels right.
I could see an argument for Keith, but yeah, Veronica all the way.
Is he the main character? Does that show even have a main character?
He's just so likable: https://www.youtube.com/wat…
Lots of cool people look unsettling.
I don't understand all this Ed Sheeran hate. I think he's great. He was fantastic on the Buzzcocks episode with Richard Ayoade
Yeah, Bo Burnham is doing more performance art than stand up at this point. He still has lots of jokes, but things like "We Think We Know You" and "Can't Handle This" really straddle that line.
Haha, glad I could help? I remember reading an article once about trustworthiness of news media and I remember the BBC, the Economist, and the Wall Street Journal were in the top 3 for trustworthiness for both liberals and conservatives. That just made me think that if the WSJ skews conservative it's probably not the…
Do they skew American conservative, or just globalist and capitalist? Sometimes I think those two things are conflated to the detriment of both.
That is a thorough but still confusing explanation.
Is the Wall Street Journal right wing? I thought it was centrist.
Yeah, but my bad decisions aren't the fun kind. I don't get a crazy story out of it or regretful sex. I just engage in arguments I know I'm not going to get anything out of with people I shouldn't.
