Based on the second part of that sentence, I think (hope) he's havin' a laugh.
If you continue with Twin Peaks, the second season (after a very strong first 5 or 6 episodes) gets bogged down in a bunch of dopey subplots. Still, I strongly recommend sticking with it, as the finale is one of the most daring and confounding things ever shown on TV.
