My interpretation was that Mike still feels a bit of responsibility toward Jesse and wanted to stick around to either help or try to get him out of Walt's orbit.

Yeah, the plot felt very mechanical and by-the-numbers and this will never be on my list of favorite episodes, but what I really appreciated is that even though that heist was just sort of wacky fun without a real threat of anything going seriously wrong, there was this sense (set up by the cold open and by Walt's

I have the same irrational hatred for Ted that some other fans seem to have for Skyler. I probably need to go do some soul-searching.

The show seemed to go out of its way to try and make her more awesome, pulling off that flawless (but pretty degrading) con with the auditor last season, but that hasn't placated the howling fanboys who see Walt as a vehicle for cathartic wish fulfillment either.

I find her interesting and sympathetic as well, and "I Fucked Ted" is one of my favorite moments in the entire series, but it was pretty clear to me last season that they are getting Skyler to a place where she is, if not quite a morally compromised as Walt, at least so complicit in his crimes and so corrupted by her

Survival is absolutely at the top of her list of concerns, but I don't think you can deny that Skyler gets off on feeling like "the one who knocks."

I'm going to have to disagree with Donna about Anna Gunn's ability to register fear. While her performance in the final scene of "Crawl Space" was swallowed by Bryan Cranston's psychotically unhinged laughter, I thought she did a pretty darn good job of projecting sheer panic. In this episode, I think she was playing
