2) There was a whole theory about chakra-opening early in the season, complete with charts, and while that was overthinking it to a certain extent, I think you're correct that Korra did more or less go on that journey in a non-literal way.

Anyone else notice that child-Amon looks an awful lot like a male version of Korra? Maybe it's just the hair.

Close-watcher, I think we saw her make lots of choices, though not all of them were good ones, and that seems to be the point. Korra is making strides on her path toward patience, but she still struggles with it. I don't think there were "lessons learned" here in a kids show sort of way, but I think there were

I understand that some would have preferred a darker ending, but I found this to be something of a relief. And I say this as a Breaking Bad fan. Yes, Book 2 of A:TLA ended on a bummer note, but I'm not sure I could have taken an ending where Korra is grappling with near-suicidal depression. This ending felt

Yeah, but that's sort of the whole tragic point, I think. Tarrlok thought he was overcoming his father's legacy and really just wound up doing precisely what was expected of him as a kid.

It's a creative choice. Given what they said in the WSJ interview, it's clear that they want to do HBO/AMC style storytelling. It's a choice I respect, and I tend to like that type of storytelling more than the alternative as a general rule, but there's no question that there are kinks to be worked out, that they
