Really? I didn't find it confusing at all.
There's a pencil test of her 3arthbending on the Korra Nation website.
Stuff I noticed/wondered about on second viewing:
To your last question: YES AND IT IS FUCKING AMAZING.
That was one of the things I noticed on second watch. His little stop, notice the pretty girl, smooth hair, saunter in sequence in the background told you everything you need to know.
I've seen that fan theory too with a host of possible mothers that make next to no sense given that they'd have given birth in their late sixties.
It would probably be too fan-servicy to have Katara come back and use one of her signature techniques. I want to predict that she'll be summoned to heal another mortally injured Avatar, but that's probably too much of the same.
That seems entirely plausible @avclub-951d3e731b6b2ac1e93cbba6e1b68e80:disqus . I am interested in seeing how/when the Avatar state gets triggered, but I'm even more interested in what the aftermath is like, given that Republic City is a densely populated area. I wonder if Tenzin is going to have to give Korra a talk…
HOLYSHITYOUGUYSITSHERE!!!!!!!
I loved the shit out of Pylea.
I'm also a lady who grew up in the 80's, and I was obsessed with Star Wars and Lord of the Rings and all that. But I was so desperate for an ass-kicking female character to identify with (and that wasn't relegated to a few scenes, like Eowyn) that I would MAKE ONE UP and imagine a narrative in parallel to the actual…
Ditto. But I have purchased the iTunes Season Pass in HD. I'm really hoping there's not too much lag time for future episodes. Otherwise I'll be glaring jealously at the TVClub review link until it's up for download.
I was perfectly capable of telling that kid was asleep, and I don't watch anime. Your enjoyment of these shows will probably be somewhat enhanced if you know some of the references, but a familiarity with anime is not a pre-requisite.
Yeah. What will we do without a Devil's three way Makorralin rating?
Obviously. I don't know a whole lot about animation, but one of the things I like about these guys is how thoughtful they are about their craft, not to mention how much they love it.
And thank you for not dwelling on the BUT SHE'S A LADY angle, as so many do. I thought their answer was great.
Never saw it either. Never will.
I feel the same way. On the one hand, the original series might have been better without episodes like The Great Divide, but at the same time, I'm happy that many of those filler episodes exist.
My ATLA marathon commenced last week, and I am only up to "The Beach." On the plus side, I'm done for the day. Fuck my dissertation edits.
