I know some people feel sorry for Serena, but not I. I think she's just awful. I don't think anything in her past can excuse what she's participating it, particularly the violence towards Offred when she learns there is no pregnancy.

It took me a couple episodes to figure out Offred = Of Fred, Ofglen = Of Glen because the pronunciation was more like Uffklen. Interesting way of naming the handmaids.

I've only seen the first episode so far and…loved it. I found myself tearing up several times at what Anne goes through. Absolutely love her friendship/affection for the Mr. Gilbert and while Ms. Gilbert is incredibly stern, I the actress does a great job portraying her softening as she gets to know Anne.
