I watched Stake Land a few nights ago and really, really liked it. It does have the influences mentioned but it also does its own thing and does it really well. I highly recommend checking it out!

I can't wait to change my name to K.F. Cruelty.
I thought this movie was great…
…not perfect, and the performances carry a lot of dead weight (especially William Fichtner.) But definitely not any kind of failure as far as I'm concerned.
@ The UMD- the cute Nazi was also in Return of the Living Dead 1 & 2 and she was also in another Seinfeld episode but I can't recall which one right now (or the actresses' name.)
1st episode/9th episode
Just wanted to mention- I loved the juxtaposition between the first episode, when Eddard beheaded the soldier from the wall for desertion and his son was told to watch, to Ned's own beheading and his daughter being told not to watch. The writing has so many patterns and intricacies. I can't…
I thought this movie was called…
Down and Out in Beverly Hills.
Yeah, Season 3's finale made me forget a lot of the drag-your-feet suckiness that Season 3 was comprised of. That episode was like a jackhammer to the head!
I LOVE IT WHEN…
…I thought it was the last episode of the season only to discover that there's STILL ONE MORE EPISODE!!! Yee-HAW!!!
Yes- me, too! Watched Terror of the Zygons Monday evening, then started Genesis of the Daleks. Passed out. Learned of Lis Sladen's passing yesterday so I skipped to School Reunion, finished Genesis, and started Revenge of the Cybermen.
I don't know…
…you can't accuse the filmmakers of false advertising. It's called Battle: Los Angeles, not Character Development: Los Angeles or Dialogue: Los Angeles.
Hey now Hank Kingsley says…
"Applesauce."
If you like Barbi Benton you should watch Deathstalker, an awesome sword/sorcery movie where she's pretty much naked through the whole film.
so-so film, awesome soundtrack
LOST HIGHWAY. Best damn soundtrack ever.
You gotta look this life…
WRONG! A+
Sorry, but this review is bullshit. This episode was easily as strong as the first. Sure Rooker's character type has been used many times before. But that wasn't nearly as distracting for me as it was for the reviewer. I enjoyed the hell out of this episode, just like the first one, and can't wait for more.
This is going to be awesome…
I thought this was an A+, easily. Maybe because I'm already a fan of the comic and I'm seeing how this is more than a faithful adaptation- it takes ideas from the book and develops them more. It's obvious that the people who are making this love the story.
Excellent summary. I don't want to bash this show because I love it but even the most die hard fan has to admit that Season 2's cliffhanger was something straight out of a noontime soap opera and they've taken too long to get some traction this season.
Exactly! For example- Tig running over/crushing/spearing the Mayans with the forklift would be old, bad-ass SOA. Tig dumping fifty gallon drums of dish soap on them- not so much.
Kelsey Grammer wants to…
RAPE YOUR MOM.
I wanna blankety blank her blanks until she screams "Holy Blank! You just blanked the blank out of my blankety-blank!"
