You know, in retrospect my comment doesn't make much sense considering how self-aware they were that their movie was basically a delivery system for blood and jiggly boobs. From what it sounds like here, they weren't trying to make ART. They were trying to make a Friday the 13th movie, and they succeeded, I guess.
