He does tend to nail that balance, Eerie Indiana springs to mind. It would be neat if they showed that episode of  Eerie where he plays a cartoony version of himself. In fact they should show all of that show everywhere all the time

everything up, and the shows makes sure you know why he's around: he
knows how to comfort and soothe Selina. Also the matter of clueless youngsters representing the president was briefly explored in In The Loop, and their roles never extend past that
