Yeah…the German guys I know told me outright that they are obsessed with Donald Duck because of the excellent, mind-bending Carl Barks comics they (and everyone else in Germany) had as kids. Surprised that didn't get a mention

Yeah, I was thinking about that earlier. As kids we grew up watching stuff that gleefully and obsessively referenced ALL pop culture. We even had regular access to Looney Tunes, which were actually MADE in those days. I'm not sure the youth of today are exposed to as much useless history. I bet they know more about…
