Cut the kid some slack. Between Betty Draper, January Jones, and EQ he's had a pretty rough life both on screen and off.

I just read Swamplandia a couple months ago and thought it could make a fine movie in the right hands. A little disappointed to hear it will be made into a TV show (instead of a movie? - I've got to assume this would preclude seeing a movie version for at least a long time). I think the setting and the characters have

As long as Mrs Taylor believes she can help the ghosts be better people…or better ghosts I guess….

While I agree that the intrigue of immunity idols has long since run its course, I was excited for Papa Bear to bring back the old fake immunity idol idea. I kind of miss the days of people hiding fake ones for others to find.

Seriously? By my reckoning, real clothes seem to have been the exception to the rule for many seasons now.

If I was Christine, without missing a beat I would have started dramatically reciting some song lyrics…something really long like American Pie or House of the Rising Sun or something.

I would love to see an All Stars season of Survivor called "Survivor Crazies" that's just made up of people like Brandon and Phillip and Dreamz, etc…or Crazies vs. Ultra-Rationals or something like that.

If I remember correctly, they didn't do a clip show last season?

Nice breakdown of the obsessive/escapist/ironist camps Todd. Well written.

To answer your original question Gary, over 10 million people, making it's debut episode the #10 rated show last week. I'm not saying that makes it any good, but that's not what you asked either.

Yes! I told my wife next time she goes to bed before me she can expect to be woken with that line.

…ok…back to the unfortunately Christian for one more….

…and now to try and shift the discussion away from the people who make Christians look terrible…

As creepy as Brandon is, I was also a bit creeped out by Coach complaining to him that he (Coach) had been unsuccessful at trying to spoon with him (Brandon) the night before.

…you'd be surprised.

I was no big fan of Vagabonds, but strangely I find some of my favorite stuff on Mockingbird Time to be the most Vagabonds-like moments.

Zooey's character definitely brought to mind Liz Lemon, but I agree that the difference (the problem?) is that we don't know how we're supposed to feel about her yet. Liz is nerdy and awkward, but also pretty self aware about it - she confesses to the gross and shameful types of things that we all do, but try to hide.

I've heard great things about that Tim O'Reagan solo album. I was eyeing a used copy at my local indie record store the other day, but didn't pick it up. Maybe I'll go back today and grab it.

I think the review pretty much nails it except the grade. A number of the songs do sound like their respective solo efforts, but with Jayhawks flourishes. It did really started to click for me on the 3rd listen. I'd probably go B or B+. Any Jayhawks fan should be pleased, and any alt country fan should probably also

In all fairness, I think there was quite a bit of creative editing going on for that whole "Hantz is a stalker" segment.
