I definitely concur the story in P4D is great for a rhythm game in particular. As you say I'm just comparing them to the scale and scope of what P3 —> P5 tried to accomplish (in terms of character moments and basic pathos since obviously the rhythm game story can't be 80-100 hours long).

Yeah there are only really TWO scenes in the game (closer to the end of things) where the sheer magnitude of Persona 4: Dancing All Night level over-exposition comes into play, and I feel for much the same reason (I'm guessing the devs were worried the fans needed every plothole covered comprehensively). Much

I hear the character interactions are very fanfic-esque wish fulfillment, but still very much enjoyable, and the dungeon crawling is challenging albeit a tad grindy. I hope you have a great time with it once you get to it!

I sure did! I wish this were like the old Sailor Moon days where we'd get stage plays/musicals and CD songs/poetry that were character-centric. Even DBZ got some of that treatment. Oh well, maybe Japan will at least have a P5 musical. But that anime will be darn stylish at least, /cheer!

We don't have time for that, Duwease! A crazy random wacky moment just occurred! We must milk it for all its comedy goodness while we subsequently forget this crucial exposition so we can remember it much later, REITERATE all the discussions we JUST had, and THEN we can finally deduce what's really going on. THAT'S

Diablo III is on consoles, and I haven't tried it myself, but iirc there are a few downsides to that version—

Yep yep, that's correct. The embedded excitement's definitely why I remember those Sierra screens so fondly. I also spent those load times reading through all the cool game documentation and side materials.

Those are some magnificent wrestling match-ups!

Wow that game on Steam actually looks pretty wacky.

Salutations~!

A ballpoint banana!

They're also releasing a Persona Q sequel on the 3DS (Dungeon Crawler that mixes and matches Persona casts), the teaser of which implies it'll include the P5 crew.

Have SONY make its own hardware 100% compatible with itself? WHAT do you think this is, the 21st century? /comfort.

^^!!! Atlus has revealed they are INDEED making two new Persona Dancing All Night sequel rhythm spin-off games for release ~Spring 2018 in Japan (for Vita AND for PS4):

"IT'S ALSO THE FIRST LETTER IN DAN-IEL, YOUR NAME~!"

I voted for Paranoia Agent because it is exemplary on all counts. The first season of Haruhi is a lot of fun, but watching it might compel you one day to watch the later 2nd season which is itself unfortunately a blight upon humanity.

Hahaha yeah my mind flashed back to that scene when I saw Bronn pop up too. I think subconsciously or otherwise I'd really like it if all those crazy ass Dorne scenes weren't entirely for nothing. It'd be nice if SOMETHING set up there led to a good conclusion for all involved (relatively speaking). Tyene being

They sure were. It also had Ed Begley Jr. and Howie Mandel and David Morse and Mark Harmon and the late Stephen Furst on it too. Basically a medical show with some dark comedy elements to it; a precursor to the heart and soul of, say, Scrubs, just played more old school straight (ala Trapper John MD).

Hi-Five! I wanted to make that reference too! ^^

To be fair, there IS an Angel episode where he fires everyone, but it's meant to show how much he's lost his self during the events of that year. And even with the parallel I apologize because it's not fair to compare a bloodsucking amoral menace with lust for someone much his junior to the awesome protagonist of that
