Wowza, that looks totally NGEva-esque awesome. Now I want to see a literal Neon Genesis Evangelion parody/homage where Shinji has to beat Angels at golf or else Tokyo-3 is doomed. "Use the sand wedge! It's a par 4! Use the wedge or take the penalty and play from the fairground, Shinji! And don't try to hit a…

From the Base Wars Wikipedia site:
"Set in the 24th century wherein baseball team owners have grown tired of paying outrageous player salaries, they decide to replace their rosters with cyborg robots."
Don't Touch ANYTHING! EVEN THE WORMS KILL YOU!
Since these days I focus primarily on story and character development in a game, I usually have the difficulty turned down to the lowest level possible (unless doing so blocks me out of unlocking certain NG+ elements).
Regarding the EDIT— that's interesting since there was also a high concept syndicated sitcom in the States called Out of this World (about a girl with an absentee alien dad voiced by Burt Reynolds, from whom she inherited special powers. WACKINESS ensues!). I guess MCA TV/Bob Booker Productions didn't care as much.
Ooo that's right. I forgot about that. Europe also got Teenage Mutant Ninja Hero Turtles and Contra Gryzor/Probotector. And then of course there's the original Biohazard title vs. Resident Evil localization. Though Puck Man becoming Pac Man makes the most sense of any title change ever /salute.
Whoops, spoke the forbidden phrase, my apologies.

Wow that cover is crazy. Stranger than Tongue of the Fatman—
Yeah that box art for Shadow of the Beast is pretty spectacular:

Wow, that game has some substantial difference in sound design and graphics depending upon the version (Amiga vs. PC DOS vs. Atari Jaguar). Very interesting. I think I like the blood effects and the menu music in the Amiga version the most. But surprisingly the Atari Jaguar version doesn't look too bad either…
I just checked out the videos for both Windjammers and Heavy Smash. The sound effects and animations for those look pretty darn amazing. And regarding the latter game, every sports title needs to have to have the ball explode when a GOAL happens. /cheer
Good call! I remember that one for the SNES. One of the first games my family got for that console.
I was trying to think about any old school games I might have purchased just because of some cool cover art or what not but weirdly nothing comes to mind. Sometimes a cover or neat image really can help sell a game though. I think in my case, the fact my family got so many gaming magazines back in the day meant I…
The kid posted an awesome review, full of hard truths and genuine praise. The apple merchant was intrigued. A visual novel RPG meets a sports game about harsh sacrifice? Sign him up.
"They'll never see it comin'~"
The first reboot title was definitely enjoyable overall, so I hope you have a great time with Rise of the Tomb Raider!
I have indeed played Resonance of Fate / End of Eternity.
Developed by tri-Ace (Valkyrie Profile, Radiata Stories, Star Ocean) and published by SEGA ~2010.
I don't travel very much anymore, and I suppose in a modern theoretical where I did I could yet again bring up the awesomeness of portable Project Diva titles, but I'll go with the definitive, good ole travel staple from my youth that is Tetris.
