/cheer /cheer! Note that this is the prequel series being done by a different team from the original design group, whereas that stellar group is working on the LiS sequel. But it still looks fucking great so I'm 100% down for this.
You remind me of the babe…
XBOX One X does what NintenDON'T!
If Yoko Taro could write this game, I know the answer would be to hack into the pyramid's consciousness and make it question its own existence to the point of irrelevance. And it would be insanely brilliant.
Agreed across the board. This game is a sheer work of art from start to finish. And every sidequest, every weapon story, every description and character dialogue you come across has so much subtext to it.
I have played it, experienced it, and had my heart and soul raised and crushed by it. It's currently my game of the year. I'd be glad to talk with you about it should you wish, sure thing!
Is it wrong that I'm most excited for the bugs this game will have and the subsequent meme gifs and clips that might be generated from them?
One of my favorite pre-Review Andrew Daly moments:

We at Microsoft want a console with attitude! XBox One X is edgy! It's "in your face." You've heard the expression, "let's get busy"? Well, this XBox One X gets "biz-zay!" Consistently and thoroughly!
Thank god you mentioned Hollow Man so I didn't have to do it first. Seriously, /cheer you. Every time I bring up that movie as being "so batshit crazy in spite of everything that doesn't work, it reaches that special sweet spot of Verhoeven awesomeness" people back away slowly. I totally had that film in mind too. …
/comfort. And with that tidbit released about having lines read to an earpiece on movies prior, I wonder if he agreed to The Invisible Man just so he could do the majority of his lines over the phone?
/cheer Wonder Woman! And /cheer 1999 The Mummy. Sure, it's not remotely Raiders of the Lost Ark caliber excellent, but it's still very entertaining at doing its own streamlined adventure/romance romp formula. Knowingly ridiculous in spots, but very well paced.
My Neighbor Totoro is so awesome it's actually used as a mini-plot point (via subtext) in Persona 5.
Yep yep agreed! Well said. Now that I think about it, a LOT of great stylistic and atmospheric choices in iconic game design back then came from resolving technical limitations, turning a disadvantage into an advantage.
/salute! I got that game back in the day and loved every second of it.
/cheer /cheer!
Since Atlus has depictions of it on their E3 passes this year, I'm gonna predict and hope that we see SOMETHING more of 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim this year. Maybe we'll actually learn what genre it'll be! :P Seriously though, whether it's RPG or platformer or fast paced robot mech 2D scroller, I'm 100% psyched! /cheer…
Thank you so much for your kind praise, Karlos. And thank you for being so open and wonderful and cultivating such a beautiful discussion today in the WAYPTW thread. And thank you for being you.
